Unity not recognizing Saitek p880 gamepad?
Hi,
I'm trying to get a Saitek p880 gamepad working with my Unity application, and it seems that Unity isn't recognizing it. Nothing is showing up in the Input Manager, and even if I set the horizontal and vertical axis "type" field to "joystick axis" the controller does not work.
I'm on OSX and this gamepad works with other applications (I've used it without problems with OpenEmu). I know that Rewired can be used to hook up a Saitek p880, but I'm wondering if something else is wrong if Unity won't recognize the gamepad.

Yes, Rewired does support the Saitek P880 (and P990) out of the box. But the pad should show up normally in Unity regardless. You'd just have to figure out what the axes and buttons map to in the Unity input manager to support it.
Here's a free tool you can download to discover the mappings: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/43621
(Note: I am the developer of Rewired, but I did not make the above linked tool.)
