Surface Shader World Normal

Hey everyone,

I would like to know what is the difference in term of performance, usage and compatibility between :

 float3 worldNormal = WorldNormalVector(IN, o.Normal);

and

 float3 worldNormal = mul( _Object2World, float4(o.Normal, 0.0)).xyz;
