Editor Camera Issue

Hi, this is an issue I'm having with the scene camera so it doesn't involve any code. But when I use alt+middle mouse to pan the camera, and let go of middle mouse, 1 out of 5 times the camera will move on its own to a seemingly random nearby point. Is this some kind of alternate panning method I'm doing on accident? I don't remember it happening in Unity 4. I can just deal with it and go on, but it's getting on my nerves a bit.

Also, sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find anything on it after several minutes of searching.
