Resources.Load how to add more supported file types
My project makes heavy use of 2 file types that are really xml but need to have different extensions so that editors can work with them. However whenever I try to read these from the resources folder, it returns null unless they have the .xml extension.
These files are just plain text. Is there some way to force unity to allow more file extensions that represent plain text? If not is there an easy way to copy the file somehow and give it a new name at run time? That seems kinda messy though..
