Free 3d ready model

Hello! I've been searching for a while now and need some help. Can someone link a website who give away free Army, Soldiers (3d models ready to use in Unity 3d)?

Im just looking for placeholder stuff and later on when I get some money ill end up either paying someone to make me some game models or buy them from the asset store. But placeholder models are needed when making games.

Honestly to jack, SOME people are programmers NOT modelers... like me for example. I have done a LITTLE modeling... for all of 3 weeks, as that's as long as the course was however I'm a strong programmer. I need 3d animated models... and guys like you piss us off.

If you ask me I would say just build your own models, it takes away the euphoric feeling you get after making your OWN game when you steal someone elses model. Learn how to model yourself and grow up.

That's why my answer was upped and your question was downed. Trust me the satisfaction of making something that looks really good ALL BY YOURSELF is an amazing feeling.

Hmm, well not everyone is talented in 3d graphics. It takes years to become really good at sculpting neat looking optimized models, that's why 3d artists and programmers often doesn't do both in the development process. In my experience over the years these tasks should be divided into separate personnel at all times to $$anonymous$$imize time costs.

I'd say find someone to work with, someone who has passion of modeling.

I'm not taking anyones side here, seriously "Grow up" and "just die", do you two have a bumpy past or what? This is not the place to burst out your feelings for one another..

I had the same problem as you. The soldier pointed by 3dDude is good. I animated it with Unity. I hope when I find an investor I will hire a modeler. I wish I could afford an animation capture.

Use the unity asset store for most of your models and many animated ones it seems like mixamo sells a lot of models and you can buy animations that work for all of them from a specific store for them

Have you looked into the Asset Store? It is a separate window in Unity, and contains some free stuff and some stuff for sale. There is a free pre-built scene in the Asset Store called "Bootcamp" which contains some army soldiers. They might be what you want, but it is always best to try to model what you want (because then you always get what you had in mind).

Try that, and then, if it is not satisfactory, dig in and try the awesomely free Blender for 3d modeling, if possible.
