Terminal, command prompt or Shell

Hi, i saw hacknet game and in this game you are using a terminal or command propt, name this as you want. So I'm interested in, if is this possible make it in unity this terminal or which metod is used for this, i have no idea how can it be programmed, it's maked very well. Could you tell me where can i find some information or which metod is used ? Maybe small script (that will be best), i'm really hope we will start nice debate about it, Thank you for help :)

Please search first, there are many duplicate questions on UA/Google/youTube. Boiled down, you want a background panel, a queue or list showing previous text and an input field; each designer will want their own twists on that.
