How To Mirror Animation

Hey guys so im making a 2D platformer and am adding in a bad guy to my script. I made it so that he will pace back and forth on the screen. I made an animation where he is walking left to right. This being the only animation, it is always playing no matter which direction he is walking. This means while the sprite is moving from left to right, the animation looks perfect, then when the right reaches its allowed distance, it starts moving from right to left and it looks like he is walking backwards or moonwalking. Here is my code, it probably has to do with the Else If line:

using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine;

public class HazardMove : MonoBehaviour{

 private ObjectMove player; //references the "player" for trigger
 public Transform start; //references the location the player will respawn on contact
 public float amounttomovex;
 public float speed;
 private float currentposx;
 private float currentposy;
 private int facing;

 void Start()
 {
     player = FindObjectOfType<ObjectMove>();
     currentposx = gameObject.transform.position.x;
     facing = 0;
 }

 void Update()
 {
     if (facing == 1 && gameObject.transform.position.x < currentposx - amounttomovex)
     {
         facing = 0;
     }

     if (facing == 0 && gameObject.transform.position.x > currentposx)
     {
         facing = 1;
     }

     if (facing == 0)
     {
         transform.Translate(Vector2.right * speed * Time.deltaTime);
     }
     else if (facing == 1)
     {
         transform.Translate(-Vector2.right * speed * Time.deltaTime);

     }
 }

Here you can at the "else if" statement, I put a "-"Vector2.right... in order to flip the animation. It doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any ideas? I have been stuck on this for weeks now and it is really stumping me. Thanks so much!

The negative Vector2.right is making him move in the direction that it should.. transform.Translate does nothing to the animation. You need to make calls to the animator. Not my domain but answers are out there.
