Quest Tips `n` Tricks

Hi Guys, I have just started game making as i think it will be the perfect job for me : D I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some beginner tips and tricks for creating an RPG like game? One with quests and adventures!

I know it will be hard work as of all of the programming but i am willing to do so if it gets me to a stage where i will be able to make my own games without help. I have no problem with game designing as i am a great designer but i have a problem with the programming, Once i know how to program i thinks i`l be good.

So if anyone could help me i would be Very Grateful.
