Want to use Unity and C# for top-down game! Wich IDE?

Hello Unity Community:

I want to use Unity and learn C# to make a top-down 2D game. Wich is the most handy IDE in your opinion? Visual Studio? Monodevelop? Learn in visual studio first and then continue in monodevelop?

Thank you in advance!

Discussion question should be asked on Unity Forums.

This is likely going to be a matter of opinion. I'm sure good apps have been created by both IDEs.

For a beginner, it makes very, very little difference. $$anonymous$$onodevelop comes ready configured with every Unity installation, so I'd recommend just using that.
