Move to different parts of an animation.
I have 2d sprite anims which are for a 2d sprite fighter throwing punches. The character has 3 punch variations and I want to randomly pick which one to fire off. I can do this in code BUT that makes it code dependent. Instead I want to set up the anim with the 3 punches in it then have the anim jump to the punches randomly. that way I can upgrade the animations in the future without altering code nor locking the game into some hard coded number of punches.
Same for ambient animations. I want the character to occasional turn their head or biounce etc.
So the question is can I set up an animation and use and event to jump to a frame and play from there then jump to another frame and play from there then pause for a few seconds.
Yes found that a while ago but manipulating the animator didn't help me. Animation didn't jump to new frames.
