Fetching a Video Ad Before the Ads Scene is Loaded
Is it possible to start fetching a video before the scene with the advertisement is loaded?
For example I show a rewarded video in the Store scene if the user clicks "show video for coin" button. I start fetching the video when user enters Store scene, not after clicking the button. But the download speed is not high enough for that. Is it possible to start loading the video while I am on the main menu or playing the game and keep the downloaded when I call Application.LoadLevel method for reaching the Store scene?
I think this is an area which may easily toe the line of bad practice.
You should not pre-fetch potentially unwanted data as many users pay for a limited bandwidth. Hence Strea$$anonymous$$g assets are the best kind for this purpose.
$$anonymous$$andatory 'still' ads are one thing, they need to be quick; but if a user has selected to watch a video they have opted for it and expect some kind of delay as everyone knows what modern internet is like.
If you have a whole separate scene for displaying these videos you should consider an ASync-Additive approach.
