Spotlight cookie causes light leaks when camera is far away
Hi, guys
I'm trying to create a mouse aiming cursor that follows the contours of the terrain below. The approach I'm following is to use a high intensity spotlight with a light cookie, which works great at close distances like this:
Problem is once I'm flying and get some distance away from the cursor (spotlight), I start seeing nasty light leaks around my cursor in the shape of an X:
It looks fine at far distances in scene view, so I'm suspecting it has to do with camera or quality settings, but I'm not sure what to tweak. Without the light cookie the light leaks are not present.
Any advice or a better way of creating this type of cursor effect will be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Gerry
