Unet spawn a camera?

I am making a car game and the only way for the camera script to actually smooth out the following movement of the car, is for the camera to not be a child of the car prefab. Being the noob I am I tried various ways to spawn a camera in when the player spawned but had no luck. So I am looking for help to spawn a camera when the player spawns using Unet. Any help is appreciated thanks!
