Setup for iPhone portrait game

Hello,

I am working on a project that will target smart phones only. The game will be played in portrait mode. What are the best best practices to setup the project for this modality? Camera settings, game space, ecc...

The subject is widely discussed but not very specifically clarified as I read around in forums. Any help to get me some head start would be greatly appreciated.
