My painted 'Detail Mesh' looks broken?
I'm wondering why it looks like it's broken up into pieces. The larger I make the object (in maya then imported to unity) the better it looks. The smaller I make the object, the more broken it gets. All vertices are sewn in maya, there's no open edges. My scale factor in Unity is 1. No rotation, no changes in scale or transforms.
I tested the detail mesh in a different scene and it worked. Now i'm wondering what's wrong with my scene that could affect the detail mesh. I painted this detail mesh on hi-res terrain and lo-res terrain, doesn't look like that affects it at all. The scene is a large scene that has multiple terrains. Not sure if that's something that would affect it.
my bad, the one that 'worked' in the new scene is marked as grass and not vertex lit. now I tried marking the one in my current scene as 'grass' but it came out invisible.
Update on my testing: I went to maya, created a rectangle, imported it into unity as an fbx and made it a detail mesh. Same problem with the edges is happening

Got it. "Healthy Color" and "Dry Color" have to be black....
