How to cancel folder/asset move?

I have an annoyingly "sticky" mouse, and by that I mean it stays clicking for a bit after I let go. Sometimes when I select a folder, if my mouse moves a bit it will end up dragging the folder into another one because of the mouse button sticking. If the asset is too large of a file, my computer will spend an extremely long time loading and I cannot cancel the process. I then have to move the folder back, which also takes a very long time. How can I cancel the process?
