what best unity version for learning from absolute zero for low end PC to teach student for third word (poor country)
what best unity version for learning from absolute zero for low end PC to teach student for third word (poor country)
some idea:
version 4.x : i think its unity as simple one before complex in version 5 and up
version 5.3.8 : last version to support unity web player
version 5.X : last version of unity support 32 bit windows
version 2017 vs 2018 vs 2019 : i don't know what is key point between them
i want simple fast easy ... have internal documentation . no need internet because place i want to teach is lap with no internet
number of pc:20
cpu : core i3-2xxx
ram : 4gb
hard : 500 (hdd)
gpu : intel gen5 (intel hd)
no internet connection
if your students intend to use older or outdated machines then I would recommend unity 4. it doesn't require internet or the new unity hub. I still occasionally use unity 4.6 and every build still works on EVERY PC .... new and old.
wow nice approach
i did forget about version 4.X
so what is limitation ?
what is your resource for version 4.X ?

idk, i have used 2018.4 for a while and i can say that i like it not too complex, not too hard on ur pc 2019.3 has new input system thats way more complex tho sooo idk, 2018.4(lts) be my recommendation
So you mention 2018 but i think 2017 same and more easy and fast but i think there no version of 32 bit for 2017 or 2018 or 2019 and so on ?
im not rly sure, i use a mac pro os x 10.10 for unity
