Can you use Art of Illusion for creating characters for unity? How do I import the character if possible?

I haven't heard of 'Art of Illusion' before, it appears to be a modelling package:

As long as you can export your models into a Unity friendly format it should be fine. From what I read on their site they can export to wavefront .obj files which work in Unity.
A list of officially supported 3D packages can be found here: http://unity3d.com/unity/editor/importing
I use Sculptris which is not listed there but exports to .obj and I haven't encountered any problems so far.
I got my character on the screen after this answer thanks again. Now I need to figure out how to make the terrain solid.
