Match-3 games are an evolution of tile-manipulation games like Tetris. Essentially, the point is to land, shoot, or swap tiles, bubbles, or other objects to form groups of three or more of the same to make that group of objects disappear (as opposed to Tetris, where you need to fill up a row to do so).
