This project has been my biggest yet, taking over 6 months from start to completion. It's been a long haul, so if you're going to review, I'd really appreciate it if you spent more than 2 minutes playing the game before you offered your opinion. If you don't like the game, please tell me WHAT it was that you didn't like about it... it's the only way I can make future projects better. Thank you.

I wasn't happy with the CPU usage of the original Overrun, and many of the reviewers made good suggestions for improvement (thank you!). So I re-coded the game from the ground up, for smoother gameplay and less CPU demand. The filesize is large partly because I created hi-res bitmap backgrounds in Bryce - they use less processor power when scrolling than vectors. The 17 music loops and 40+ 3D animation loops don't help much, either, when trying to keep the filesize down.... ;D

Please be aware that I had to cut the music tracks to 15-30 second loops for filesize reasons. If you like any of the clips, please show your support for NG's Audio Artists by downloading the full songs from the Audio Portal, and reviewing/voting on their work. Links are in the Credits page of the game's helpfile. Unfortunately, NG's submit process only allows me to credit 12 out of 16 artists, so here are the other four:
NG1795-Yarr! by Zingela
NG14824-Ska Spirit by JD6
NG2168-As The Desert Winds Blow by Joseph_Collins
NG4992-Restoration Mix by DJM_Funk_Brothers

There ARE cheats in the game, but they're only available on CRAZY mode. Press SPACE on the Pause screen (press P to Pause the game) to show the input box. What's that? You want to know what to type in the input box? Well, my Paypal account is always open =D

I found this to be a pretty good game. I think its biggest strengths are that you some cool enemy designs. It seems like you were just going around and looking for household objects to throw at us. I don't know what some of these things are, but they're well done. I also appreciate being able to monitor what the enemies do. The upgrades are nice too.
You probably could have had more variety. I can tell when a level is about to end. The most annoying things were the yellow birds because they could attack you from above. Dang, you used a lot of songs for this. It wasn't common in this time to do that.
a shining example of what the sega 32x could had been
much better
not only did you add a story line but you also added upgrades, better art enamies with health bars insted af one shot kills it is all to gether a much better and fast paced game.(then last overrun)
