Avril Lavigne (pärisnimega Avril Ramona Lavigne-Whibley; sündinud 27. septembril 1984 Kanadas Ontarios) on rocklaulja, laulukirjutaja, helilooja ja näitleja.

Tema isa Jean-Claude on sündinud Prantsusmaal, ema Judy Ontarios. Tema nimeks valisid nad "avril", sest see tähendab prantsuse keeles aprilli. Tal on vanem vend Matthew ja noorem õde Michelle.

Esimesena märkas tema annet ema, kui Avril hakkas kaheaastaselt koos emaga kirikulaule laulma. 1998 võitis Avril konkursil õiguse laulda teise kanadalase Shania Twaini kontserttuuril. Ta laulis koos Twainiga tolle kontserdil Ottawas "What Made You Say That".

Esinemise ajal Lennoxi kohaliku omavalitsuse teatris märkas Avrili kantrilaulja Steve Medd, kes kutsus teda oma 1999 ilmunud albumile "Touch the Sky" tausta laulma. Avril tegi seda ...
