Something wrong.

I remember when this game first came out back in '01, and it was awesome. Pirate fights in space, and the battle system wasn't bad though this one is way better. But I like to role play my games and play them how they are supposed to be play properly. There aren't any pirate fights at all, and that bothers me so much. The story line and graphics are amazing, but it gets boring even if I play it the right way. The pirate fights helped so much for people who were either trying to make a living in the game by space fighting, and collecting the cash cargos, or just trying to hype up the gameplay a bit. :-/ Sorry bro, I gave it a six.

CHEAT: Rob the Loan Shark
- On either difficulty, borrow until you're at 5200 debt
- Pay 520 + Borrow 520 + Repeat until your next payment's due in 300+ days
- Borrow 10000 + Repeat until you have as much money as you want :)

A very interesting game. It kepy me hooked for about an hour trying to find the best trading routes and feeling like a real space merchant. The difficulty is relative to the experience of the player, after you get to know the best trade routes and which planet sells x item cheap and which other buys it for the best profit, the game is pretty easy.
The only thing I complain is that the battles are awfully slow and boring.
The debt glitch in difficult game is actually beneficial for the player, wait until your debt is a negative number and go ask the loan guy for any money you want.

I've played both Taipan games and loved them both. Needs an update for 2010
