General information about CBD

CBD (shorter name for Cannabidiol) is one of the most effective cannabinoid molecules found in hemp flowers and leaves.

It has been discovered in 1940 and is nowadays usually applied as pharma-drug, food supplement, cosmetics or food & drinks ingredient.

Unlike the psychoactive THC molecule of cannabis, CBD is not intoxicating, therefore safe and legal to use in most countries.

Cannabidiol food supplements are mostly valued for calming properties.

CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid system, bringing daily physical and mental functions or reactions (such as sleep, pain, emotions, immune system) back to balance.

CBD is legal to buy and use in most countries, as long as it does not have the psychoactive molecule THC inside.

Therefore, if you‘re not sure about maximum allowed THC amount in your country or THC is completely forbidden there, we‘d recommend to go for Full Spectrum THC-free, Broad Spectrum, or CBD isolate products, as they do not have residual THC molecules inside.

Alternatively, if your country allows low-THC products, check if the product does not have higher than allowed THC amount (in most countries, 0,2% or 0,3%). However, keep in mind, that even low amounts of THC can cause side effects (anxiety, dizziness) and drug test failure.

In any case, be aware irresponsible manufacturers and always check cannabinoid amounts in the laboratory results of the batch you purchase.

World Health Organization has proven that CBD is neither intoxicatring nor addictive cannabinoid - https://www.who.int/medicines/access/controlled-substances/CannabidiolCriticalReview.pdf

Also, CBD is allowed by World Anti-doping agency to use for sportsmen - https://www.wada-ama.org/en/questions-answers/cannabinoid

THC is the only known molecule of cannabis that gives the intoxicating effect.

H Drop products are THC-free.

CBD usage

Simply said, 1 drop of 15% = 3 drops of 5%

But we‘d recommend to start with calculating your personal recommended daily CBD dosage here: CBD dosage calculator.

Let‘s assume your recommended daily dosage is 30mg of CBD.

30mg of CBD = 4 drops (7,5 mg each) of 15% CBD bottle = 12 drops (2,5mg each) of 5% bottle = 3 capsules of 10mg

Generally, 5% oil is more convenient while experimenting with low doses, but is 15% oil is more economical. Meanwhile, capsules are designed for those who want to be sure that the dosage is completely accurate (it is rather easy to miscalculate amount of drops) and tasteless.

Therefore, we usually recommend new users to start with 500mg (5%) CBD oil, and eventually, if needed, continue with more economical 1500mg (15%) option. Or just instantly go for medium-strength 10mg CBD capsules, if preferred.

It is highly recommended to apply CBD regularly, 2-3 times per day.

If you are a new user, the effect might not instantly come in place. Allow your endocannabinoid receptors at least few days to fully adapt.

Daily dosage of CBD depends on a lot of factors, such as your body weight, body chemistry, the condition you’re treating, and the concentration of CBD in the product you’re using.

We recommend to start with recommended daily CBD dosage based on our calculator CBD dosage calculator or the dosage stated on the product package.

Then:

1. Divide the dosage evenly throughout the day (2 or 3 times).

2. For oil: Squeeze the recommended number of drops under the tongue and keep for 2 minutes.

2. For capsules: Swallow the recommended number of capsules with water or cold drink. Do not chew.

3. Gradually increase the dosage, if needed. However, do not exceed more than 200mg of CBD per day.

Pregnant women:

There is a lack of scientific studies regarding CBD side effects for pregnant women, therefore it’s essential for pregnant women to consult with a competent doctor before applying CBD.

Children:

Clinical studies proved that CBD is safe to use for children of age 2 and above.

There are no scientifical evidences regarding younger children.

However, it is anyhow essential to consult with a competent doctor before applying CBD on children of any age.

There is no clinical data about specific side effects of CBD interaction with particular medications.

Therefore it is essential to consult with a competent doctor before applying CBD with medications.
