While in the hospital for a tomography of the brain of his autistic daughter Sarah, Ben becomes upset when there is a power failure. He decides to leave the hospital with Sarah, while the nurse Emily tries to convince him to leave Sarah for further treatment. They get the elevator with three other passengers, and suddenly the elevator stops; when the door opens, people has vanished from the hospital, the environment is creepy and they are chased by devilish monsters. They find that they are trapped in the hospital, and the creatures seem to be hunting Sarah. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Remember Lordi, the band that won the Eurovision song festival way back in time. When they were hot with their monster look (GWAR anyone) they were a bit over-hyped. If you just listen to their music it didn't sound to be honest really hard like a metal band should do. But still controversy aroused when they won the festival and to cash in on that a flick was made. Don't expect that they are really acting. They are just doing what they can do best, hiding after their masks.
I didn't like their movie to be honest, there was too much of CGI used for the effects and the story isn't really ground breaking, it even reminded me a bit of Silent Hill (2006). No gore, a thing I thought I was going to see with a metal band involved, or even nudity to see here in Dark Floors.
Back then people wanted to see this flick, I waited for years to see what the fuss was all about. Much to do about, sigh, nothing.
