Combat Cars is a racing game developed and published by Accolade in 1994. In Combat Cars, the player races against other cars and can use various kinds of weapons and gadgets to damage their opponents. At the outset of the game, the player can choose one of the eight available characters, where each character has his/her own strengths and weaknesses (speed, car handling, etc.), as well as unique weapons.
Dragonsphere is a point-and-click graphic adventure game developed and published by MicroProse in 1994. The story, taking place in a fantasy world, revolves around a magical sphere where the evil sorcerer, Sanwe, was trapped by the late King of Gran Callahach 20 years ago and he is about to break free. The newly crowned king, Callash, goes on a quest to stop the wizard before he regains his powers.
Deadlock is a turn-based strategy game by Accolade released in 1996 & 1998. Expeditions sent by the governments of eight races came to orbit around Gallius IV. An armed conflict ensued as each race was determined to capture the planet for its own purposes. To avoid an intergalactic war, as well as to prevent the disputed planet from being accidentally destroyed by the space fleets battling around it, a treaty called The Compact of Gallius IV was signed by seven of the eight races.
The HardBall franchise are a series baseball games published by Accolade for a variety of platforms between 1985 and 1991. Hardball! was Accolade's best-selling Commodore game as of late 1987. A.N.A.L.O.G. praised the Atari version's gameplay, graphic, and animation. The magazine concluded that the game "is in a league of its own, above all other Atari sports games—simulations included”.
Lightspeed is a space flight simulator game developed and released by MicroProse in 1990. A sequel, entitled Hyperspeed, was released by MicroProse in 1991. The player must help recolonize the human race after the Earth's habitability is critically reduced by an ecological catastrophe. The entire human race is being housed in huge Conestoga-class colony ships, which are waiting for the player to secure at least one planet with an Earth-like environment.
Motor Mayhem is a vehicle combat game published by Infogrames and released in 2001. Motor Mayhem: VCL takes the path of a postapocalyptic future, where the sport of car combat has seen a rise in popularity and has become the new world's largest form of entertainment. In nearly all of the levels there are bleachers hanging above you, and the demolition of an opponent or execution of a particularly damaging combo will be met by roars of approval from the crowd.
